At HaVeDa, we’ve created a free, user-friendly platform where users can socialize and connect by phone or by video.
“Ha Ve Da” in Hebrew means “Chit Chat” and our aim is to enable Israeli seniors and children from the US and around the world socialize and connect with each other;
Our primary goal is to provide a safe, easy-to-use environment where the seniors are able to interact and connect with young individuals who are seeking to learn and sharpen their Hebrew skills.
HaVeDa provides a wonderful opportunity to engage in grandchild-grandparent-like discussions which can provide both youths and elders with lots of insight, enjoyment and wisdom.
HaVeDa is now working with several schools and organizations in the US and Israeli-based retirement homes, matching elders and young participants so that each is well-suited to the others’ language abilities.
We are currently recruiting participants. Each session is comprised of 5 phone calls. Each weekly phone call is about 15 to 20 minutes in length.
HaVeDa was founded by Gideon Fruchter together with his sons Shai Lofdahl Fruchter and and Itai Lofdahl Fruchter.
So if you’re looking for a fun and engaging way to sharpen your Hebrew, make new connections and help your community, join HaVeDa! It’s 100% free.
